The perfect all-rounder.

The ContiPremiumContact 5 - The perfect all-rounder which combines comfort and safety at the highest level.

The ContiPremiumContact 5 is the new all round premium tyre for vehicles in the compact, mid-size and full-size category. The all rounder boasts extremely short braking distances on dry and wet roads, low rolling resistance, safe driving properties and comfortable handling characteristics.

The optimised 3D edges allow for shorter braking distances on wet roads. Adapted from the ContiSportContact 5, the macro-blocks guarantee safe handling and better transmission of cornering forces. A new carcass – adapted this time from the ContiEcoContact 5 – enhances comfort and reduces the ContiPremiumContact 5's rolling resistance.

Highlights

  • Short braking distances on dry and wet surfaces.
  • Perfect grip and optimal handling in every driving situation.
  • Comfortable driving and improved rolling resistance.

Pretty good hold but wear out fast
The design is nice and hold is good. But d Noticed that the edge of the tyres wear out faster (not due to lack of air pressure) so end up you have to change the tyres even though it's still pretty new. Have used other Brand's tyres which wear more evenly.

Good grippy quiet tyres, but high wear rate.
Bought CPC5 tyres to replace my near-new GY "Excellence" tyres that came with my car. I was concerned about the "C" wet grip rating on the GY tyres and the CPC5 tyres were rated "A" - it gave me peace of mind every time I drove through heavy rains. I have driven 20000km on it and soon I will have to change it once I have covered another 5000km or so when it is estimated to hit the 3mm thread depth that Continental recommends a tyre change at, to maintain good wet braking capability. Note: Continental has released the CPC6, the successor to this model but only for 16" wheels or bigger.

Couldn't feel different compare to average tyres
Have been using it for 15000km ++ and sold it off, thread left about 75 % Due to it's 205 profile cause my fuel drop by 5 - 10% Due to drag compare to Honda jazz OEM tyre. Later I changed to Yokohama AE-01 with 195 Profile A Lot of review stating it is good tyre blah blah blah, but i don't really feel much different in term of stability, noise level, comfort and control. Not really feel it is justify the price of $40 dollar different ask compare to AE01

Amazing tires for the price
My previous C1S were left about 30% But decided to switch since there's a promotion. The ride became softer and quieter right away. The C1S is known to be soft throughout its lifespan. Noise picked up a little towards the end. The CPC5 seems to have pressed the mute button in the cabin. The ride is soft. Even at 240 kpa the car feels like it's riding on 4 pillows.
