Komoco Motors Pte Ltd, sole distributor of Hyundai cars in Singapore, has enhanced the Venue sub-compact crossover in view of the interruption caused by the COVID-19 circuit breaker, refreshing its recent launch at this year's Singapore Motor Show.
Built in Ulsan, Korea, the Venue is the seventh product to join its larger siblings within the SUV family which include the Kona and Kona Electric, Tucson, Santa Fe, as well as the eight passenger Palisade and the Nexo, both which are not available locally yet.
Hyundai's SmartSense active safety and driving assistance technologies, as well as a new front cascading grille and an electrically heated side mirror are now available on the Venue Auto in the 'S' trim.
The base-spec variant of the Venue in Singapore also now gets a push start button (standard on both pre and post-refresh versions of the 'S' model).
The design of the new Hyundai Venue 1.6 exhibits a confident body form, delivering a new interpretation of Hyundai's signature design language.
The vehicle's side profile showcases a solid and full volume wheel arch and strong character line, while the front cascading grille includes the new Hyundai signature face that's found on both the Kona and the Nexo, including composite LED lights and cube shape headlamps. This unique character line continues through the tail lamps. The Hyundai Venue 1.6 is available with striking 17-inch alloy wheels along with the 15-inch standard wheels.
Fuel economy is an important consideration for customers who purchase an entry-level vehicle. The Hyundai Venue 1.6 won't disappoint thanks to Hyundai's Smartstream Gamma II 1.6-litre four-cylinder Dual Port Fuel Injection engine.
Hyundai's first and internally developed proprietary Intelligent continuously Variable Transmission (IVT) offers a shift control strategy which enhances shift response through a continuous range of effective gear ratios. The ability to match a gear ratio with engine operating conditions provides benefits including smooth transition and improved fuel efficiency.
The SUV's appealing interior space and comfortable cabin provide adequate space for the versatile urban commuter. With SUV styling cues and utility, it is the ideal alternative to a subcompact car.
The Hyundai Venue comes standard with a 60/40 split flat folding backseat to maximise utility for those trips to the farmer's market or transporting musical instruments. The 335-litre cargo space features a rear covering shelf for added privacy which can be conveniently stowed along the rear seatback when not being used.
Consumers will appreciate convenience features such as the dual USB ports and the 3.5-inch TFT instrument cluster display to illustrate useful information while also serving as the feed of the rearview camera. The leather-wrapped steering wheel provides daily comfort for the driver.
The Venue's advanced infotainment system features an 8.0-inch Display Audio touchscreen system and rearview monitor. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity come as standard for intuitive operation of the most commonly used smartphone functions, including app-based navigation, audio streaming and voice-controlled search capabilities.
The Hyundai Venue 1.6 Auto 'S' is equipped with Hyundai SmartSense active safety and driving assistance technologies. This cutting-edge driver assistance suite constantly monitors the environment around the vehicle to protect drivers from potential hazards while on the road. Driving assistance technologies on the Venue 'S' include Blind Spot Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Driver's Attention Warning and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert.
