Alfa Romeo has announced that the upcoming all-electric Milano is already undergoing development tests at the Balocco testing site in Piedmont, Italy.
These development and handling tests are said to be conducted under the guidance of the team of engineers who played a role in the development of Alfa Romeo's past models including the 4C, 8C, Giulia, Stelvio, as well as the Giulia GTA. This team is being led by Domenico Bagnasco, who has overseen the development of several of the brand's sports cars, and is described by Alfa Romeo as a part of the brand's own sporting identity.
Alfa Romeo further states that development of the Milano is focused on ensuring that the car delivers outstanding and unmistakable driving dynamics alongside quick cornering and high grip, based on a direct and precise steering geometry.
The general development of the Milano is also being headed by Stefano Cereda, who previously helmed the development of the Giorgio platform. Stefano is also said to have gave the go-ahead for the development of the Tonale's plug-in hybrid drivetrain (catch our review of the combustion-only Tonale here).
The Alfa Romeo Milano will make its global debut come 10 April 2024.
