Maserati has presented Made in Thunder, celebrating the entrance into its 100% electric chapter, alongside the world premiere of the GranCabrio Folgore, completing its electric range.
The event was kicked off by Dardust who welcomed the arrival of guests. Dardust crafted and played a series of sounds, specially made in honour of Maserati entering a new electrifying era.
Matilda De Angelis, an Italian actress and Edwidge Pezzulli, an astrophysicist and communicator then took over the show, officially opening the event. During the opening, they shared the early history of the Motor Valley brand which is celebrating 100 years of motoring and racing history.
The stage was then taken over by the world premiere of the all new GranCabrio Folgore. It is said that the GranCabrio Folgore takes a leading role in Maserati's electric era, with the same disruptive force as thunder, hinting at the name of the event.
The GranCabrio Folgore is the first ever 100% electric luxury convertible. Alongside the GranTurismo Folgore and the Grecale Folgore, this open top Maserati completes the brand's fully-electric offering.
The event ended with speeches from both Klaus Busse, Maserati Head of Design, and Davide Grasso, Maserati CEO. Klaus Busse shared on the design of the GranCabrio, emphasising its distinctive features such its performance and the unmistakable Folgore sound. He carried on to share on the debut of the exclusive Liquid Rose gold colour, Titan Grey soft top, and the Denim and Ice interiors alongside the contrasting stitching, all of which are a creation of the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme.
As the event closed, representatives form the Maserati Family and Maserati's Chief Executive Officer bid farewell to guests who just witnessed Maserati's entrance into an electric future.
