Fiat 500e arrives in North America
Fiat has launched the all-electric 500e in North America.
The model is the first battery-electric offering to arrive in North America from Stellantis, and to mark the occasion, it arrived via a video reveal featuring CEO of Fiat and Global Chief Marketing Officer of Stellantis, Olivier Francois, alongside Lead Singer of U2 and Co-founder of international non-profit organisation ONE, Bono.
Fiat also launched the model with the (500e) RED edition, created to raise funds to fight against global pandemics, and launched the model on 1 December, to commemorate World AIDS Day.
The all-electric take on Fiat's most storied model comes with a total of 116bhp and 220Nm of torque, allowing it to reach 96km/h in 8.5 seconds. This power comes from a 42kWh battery that can be charged at up to 11kW via an alternating current source. Charging from a direct current charger can be done at speeds of up to 85kW, allowing the battery to reach an 80% state-of-charge from flat in just 35 minutes. This battery allows the Fiat 500e to achieve an estimated range of 240km.
In the cabin, models headed to the U.S.A will sport a 10.25-inch infotainment screen alongside a 7.0-inch fully digital driver's instrument cluster.
The Fiat 500e will arrive in Stellantis North America showrooms starting in the first quarter of 2024, and every model will be sold with a home charger box system or charge credits through charging provider Free2Move Charge.
