Since IX plugs are designed to improve ignition performance and fuel economy they use ultra-fine electrodes, but you can drive the same distance using them as you can with Nickel type plugs.

The best spark plugs I've ever used.

Try these plugs in my Corolla with stock ignition and they are fantastic! I just checked them after 17700 kms and there is no electrode erosion on these plugs (Checked plugs with a wire gap tool)! I would suggest to everybody who changes their own spark plugs to at least check them around every 18000 kms or once a year (even if they are long life plugs, reading the plug will let you know about any potential issues with the engine). If your looking to put better plugs in your Corolla, NGK Iridium IX is an excellent choice. Fuel economy on the Corolla does slightly increase ~1% but every little bit counts! Another pointer is to drive conservatively and (if you can) anticipate traffic flow, curves, hills and don't ride the brakes - increase your following distance and let the car coast down the road. Feel safe!

Got this NGK Iridium IX for my 2004 Volvo XC90. I was impressed with it's performance. The engine runs smooth. I feel very safe, knowing I've got the best plugs. My wife knows me well as she knows I always do everything in my power to care for the safety of our family. I was impressed that the engine start quickly every time and runs like new. The smooth starts and efficient plug firing also provides the best fuel economy. I am really happy with these plugs, their obvious quality as they make my engine run like brand new one.

Excellent Iridium plugs

An Excellent performance plugs but not easily available.. Maybe its the model I am using.. Highly recommended.. Price a bit on the high side.. will be great if price is cheaper..

Yet another high quality NGK spark plug

The fuel savings are slight but noticeable, and I definitely noticed the improved engine efficiency. It's also very, very durable and increases engine power. Also, my engine has been running much smoother with these amazing spark plugs under my hood. A definite must buy!
