Comfortable Hi-Performance Tire
The title of this review does sound contradictory, but I assure you that this tire does seem to satisfy both needs. Conventional wisdom would tell you that isn't possible. High performance tires need hard side walls so that they corner on rails and with hard side walls, the ride comfort goes out the window. Somehow Kumho has managed to build a tire which is comfortable over Singapore's pothole-filled roads. I get this feeling after coming from the likes of R888, PS3, F1A2, so I know what I'm talking about. In terms of performance, I ran the tire for 200kms before evaluating it. During those first 200 kms it was grippy, but I had a feeling that I didn't have full confidence in its grip around corners, though my fuel economy was great. After the scrub in period, the grip was noticeably improved: just point the car in that direction and it goes, no protest from the tires at all. It grips and its quiet for the most part. I haven't managed to get it to slide yet, unless the road was sandy. My only complaint is there is a humming sound due to the thread pattern, but this is low in volume and really obtrusive in the cabin. The price is really good for this kind of tire at 18". If I were to compare against my previous tires, I would say its almost at the grip level of the PS3, but is much more comfortable and more quiet. The PS3's wear rate is high. It is better than the F1A2 in every aspect IMO. R888 is a different ball game. This is my own subjective opinion. :)

Had always supported kumho tire since day 1.. If I not wrong, this is a replacement model for KU31. Change them in early march this year and already clock more than 15k on road.

Economical Tyres
After driving 10000km in these tyres , here are my tots, as compared to my previous P7 tyres. Ride Comfort- As you know, MPV needs comfortable tyres. Honestly, this one and my previous one feels the same. Handling - Goes in the direction I wants, but I do feel abit more vibrations than my previous tyres...But could be my car is older too. Dry Braking - wet braking - Braking is good for this tyres, definitely on par w P7. The four wide grooves are similar to the P7. Noise - This is the department that imho is definitely noiser than the P7. It is definitely not as quiet....But only if u r driving alone, will you be able to tell the difference. All in all, considering the price vs the performance of the tyres, I would say it is a fantastic buy. If you are considering replacing your tyres, seriously consider this. Only reason I would think of people not even considering it, is because they prefer more atas brand like Pirelli, Michelin etc.
