ContiSeal™ is a technology developed by Continental designed to seal a damaged tire tread. In case of penetration by foreign objects such as nails, there is no need for immediate roadside tire changes, and holes remain sealed even if the puncturing object becomes dislodged. ContiSeal™ is a sticky, viscous sealant layer. It is applied to the inside of the tire in the tread area. ContiSeal™ seals 80% of all tire punctures and therefore reduces the risk of flat tires. ContiSeal™ tires are marked clearly with a symbol on the sidewall and are compatible with all commonly available rims.

Good value!
Tyres met all my requirements, comfort significantly improved, water discharge perfectly, turns and cornering felt secure. Driving on them is a real fun and pleasure and most importantly safe. Recommended!
A good tyre that has its ups and downs.
Used a set of Continental ContiEcoContact 5 tyres before. Noisy from first moment I got them. Bumping begins at 75kph, gets progressively worse with speed. It wanders when at high speeds, and this, personally, feels unsafe. It takes corners very weakly, with a lot of roll when turning at high speeds. For a thousand bucks, I should not even notice I have tires rolling under me. Instead, I have to grit my teeth every time I commute. Would not recommend for those that drive efficiently, for that I meant at high speeds that are of a safe driving. These tyres are for those who loves cruising through the highway at around 70kph. My theory on it is that it 'forces' you to slow down and cruise, hence saving fuel.
A decent tyre for a reasonable price
I noticed that the ContiEcoContact 5 really shines when it comes to dry grip and dry performance. It's definitely one of the best dry performance tyres Continental has. The wet grip and performance is just decent though, and the rolling resistance is superb. The quietness and comfort is decent but not remarkable. The only cons with this tyre is that the aquaplaning resistance is not very good
