New 300V Series is racing lubricant for racing cars.

Motul has developed "Double Ester Technology" for new 300V series, superior to complex ester that recognized the best base oil for engine oil up to now. Double Ester Technology, made by carefully balancing the ratio of complex ester and the newly developed macromolecular high polymer ester, enable base oil more wide- ranged and delivers high output performance and superior reliability.

Also by carefully selecting the right polymer, "0% shear loss" can be achieved.

Diesel Injector method (CEC L-14-A-93), a standardized testing procedure for a lubricant's shearing force.

Can be mixed with another viscosity of same series to achieve most suitable viscosity for the engine (except for 5W40)

High end Ester base engine oil

Motul 300V Power Racing series was never on my purchase list due to the high price tag. The effect between Motul and RED LINE was quite identical, probably due to the same group of oil (Ester-based). The visible difference will be the fuel consumption which 300V tends to provide slightly better fuel consumption.

Smooth & buttery deliver

Motul knew they have great and reliable products on hand, so do numerous car manufacturers... Challenge is for local distro to get them out on the streets! Having used a few brands of engine oil before trying the Motul 300V (including Motul 5w40), this EO still manages to surprise me. Easier cranking & ever so eager to rev on my non-turbo B&B car. Drives better when fully loaded with family members now. This review was done after spending around 2000km since the Motul EO & filter change.

Most surprising aspect of Motul 300V

Trying not to have a placebo effect after an oil change is hard. You usually get the just service oil feeling, Motul 300V has the usual just complete an oil change feeling. What the difference between this oil and the other oil needs to be factual. So, my usual oil, operating oil temp is hitting 108C during traffic jam. This is not to be confused with coolant temp at the usual 90degree mark. With the Motul 300V, it runs a tad cooler at 99 to 102 degree C. It sound way "firmer" on idling and the turbo spools a tad quicker. On a negative side, wish I had change to Motul 300V sooner.

A very good oil

Motul is far from being a stranger. This brand was already top on my list of choice oils from the days before I was driving. It was used extensively on my 400cc motorcycles that I have owned.
