Power Magic PRO is designed specifically for BlackVue, it is a battery draining prevention device.
To have hassle free surveillance application by BlackVue, we recommend Power Magic PRO to be added on.
It will automatically cut off the power to BlackVue when voltage drops below the threshold voltage setting. Moreover, it also acts as a countdown timer where user can set the preferable duration to have the Black Vue operates when parked.
Power Magic PRO helps to prevent further draining of battery voltage when vehicle is parked for longer period of time.

Not reliable .. but features are good
I had power magic installed previously and it didn't work for long.
Only after 2 weeks of usage, the device was faulty and didn't work anymore.
I am not sure how many of you people out there were happy with this product, but another friend of mine also bought this device at the same time and his lasted just couple of months more than mine.
Could be a manufacturing defect but then again, 2 out of 2 ?
The device did get heated up over night and I would want to suspect that due to the concealed box, or poorly design electronic component, or using components that couldn't handle prolong heat and electrical fatigue, spells component failure sooner.
Works like a CHAMP!
I bought this product and so far it has performed all the advertised functions without a hitch! You need to know your way around your vehicles electrical system to wire this up though. In my Mercedes there is a fuse box located in the truck and I wired it to two fuses, an "always on" fuse and an "on with the key" fuse. I could only find out that the Mercedes cuts power to the entire fuse box after about an hour plus of turning off my car, so I ended up wiring the "always on" directly to the car battery. I find it a little annoying but you may not find it which depend on your car. Anyway, I used the Power Magic Pro with a BlackVue 500GW-HD dash cam and it works exactly like a CHAMP! It intends to save car battery life and works extremely well so far. Overall, the car works perfectly great!
Not compatible with all cars.
I had this installed together with Blackvue Cam.
However, I am unable to test its true potential.
Before the device got a chance to cut off the power, my BMW CPU cut off from the main since it was detecting the level of batt left.
So it defeats the purpose of having the powerbox installed in the first place.
Even after setting it to the minimum power allowed, BMW automatically cuts it off 1st.
In the end, I just use it as a safety feature. Its there but I have to reset the power everytime BMW cuts it off. (After 13 to 14 hours of usage)
Awesome, high quality video recorder!
After several accidents in which I had not much evidence to support my claim, I went ahead to get a high quality video recorder, and this BlackVue Power Magic PRO had cleared my doubts. During the day, it records really well, with perfect clarity and colour. At night, it suffers very little colour defficiency - a plus point since most of the other video recorders in the market would fail in performing well at night. This BlackVue is also great for its battery life; I seldom charge it, and it still retains quite a fairly good battery level.
