The AP8.9 bit amplifier was designed by Audison R&D Department to achieve maximum sound quality in OEM Integration applications.

The powerful management software proves the ability to acquire the bit Drive presets which the Audison team fine-tuned specifically for your car. Thanks to the innovative power supply stage, a power of 520 W total can be achieved in an extremely compact case.

The non-amplifiable ninth channel can be used to drive a subwoofer via the mono AP1 D amplifier

Advance value for money processor + 8ch amp!
Been a while from ICE. Only recently stumble across this little gems. I could drive front and rear speaker actively and have installer tune for me. It can either do 8ch or combine any of the 2ch into bridge mode for higher power drive. Very flexible config. With main input, one aux and one optical in direct to the amp. IF you know what you want it can perform extremely well. (digital domain). There's also sub out (line level) which I could utilized in the future.

Nice design and features poor performance and quality (stopped working)
I purchased the AP 8.9 to enhance my system sound but it is not performing any better than the original rcd 510 that came with the car, it got so many abilities and settings that its wonderful but still after lots of hours the sound isn't better, i have it for six months and the wired remote stopped working after 5 months and now the pc interface stopped working, so i am stuck with one setting and no ability to change between sources, i expected more from Audison at this price level.

Multifunction solution for factory HU cars
After being away from the ICE scene for a couple of years, it has slowed dramatically. I was used to having a separate EQ and amps to drive the car speaker system. Boxed subwoofers with megawatt amps and custom work were "big". Coming from an audiophile background, I was only interested in getting good sound from the car, after all who wants to be stressed when you're driving home after a hard day's work. So when I looked for tuning options for my car, I was disappointed with the lack of options. Sure you could spend a bundle of separate processors, amps, speakers, cables, installation to get that sound, but I just wanted to Keep It Simple. My trusted installer, Thomas, recommended a simple solution, an all-in-one processor, amp, equaliser, crossover all rolled into one, like a multifunction printer/fax/scan/copy machine for the car: the Audison Bit8.9. Specs wise, it isn't very powerful, just rated at 8ch x 35w into 4ohms, but its stable into 2ohm loads! At first I thought why 8 channels? Isn't that too much? But you can also individually customise for each channel: bandpass/highpass, Xover point, Xover slope, type of Xover, phase AND time align it to the driver's seat. Now that is pretty impressive. Given that you can specifically tune each channel means that you can run this directly to each speaker driver and run the whole lot active!!! Which is a very good thing. I remember when I went from passive to active, and never looked back: the sound is that much better. So now I understood why the thing had 8 channels, plus a ninth unpowered which you could customise for a separate amp to drive a sub. For my setup, since I just wanted it simple, I got Thomas to hook up the front and rear comps active, so I used all 8 channels. Let me tell you that the sound is immediate, has presence, and is very live and realistic. I only required some minor equalization at 2 points and I was good to go. A good friend who heard it said his BMW audio wasn't satisfying after listening to my car. Draw your own conclusions. Only caveat: setup is very important, so get an installer who knows what he's doing. I have no relations to the agent/distributor/installer of this product. I just love music and cars.
